DIY Feather Art

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to pop in to share perhaps the quickest DIY I have ever blogged about.
We have some painted feathers we have collected over the years and have been keeping them in a little mercury glass vase. I wanted to mix it up a little and needed some creative art for our new mantle shelf. I found these shadow box frames when I was doing some cleaning/organizing in the basement. All I did was arrange the feathers and used pins to secure the feathers in the frames.
And ta-da! Unique and custom art using things I already had around the house!
I styled the shelf with a few camp-inspired items.

Brew and I made this drum together at camp. He strung the drum and I painted it. The picture is from a Northwest Coast Native American tale called "How the Raven Stole the Sun."
 {The woven bands and the terracotta bowl were gifts from my Camp Mom!}

And of course my favorite girl has to sneak into the picture!

We arrived in Hilton Head, NC today. Its currently raining but that isn't going to hold us down! its beautiful down here and we are escaping another snow storm at home!

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm linking up!
