The Perfect Valentine's Day.

We celebrated Valentine's Day in a little less traditional but equally amazing way his year. My cousin came over and we all cooked together! The fiance made delicious steak and potatoes.

And we made dessert! My cousin and I are fascinated by bananas foster! Mostly because it is lit on fire! {but also because it is sooo good!} And it is super easy to make and is sure to impress!

All you need is:
4 Bananas
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of dark rum
French Vanilla Ice Cream

Get ready for this! It's so simple!
 Peel the bananas and slice in half lengthwise and widthwise.
 Melt the butter in a large pan.
Add in a 1/2 a cup of brown sugar.

 Mix the brown sugar until melted and well combined.
 Make sure you have an adorable puppy hovering at your feet hoping for scraps! {OK I guess that step is optional..}
 But seriously look at her dressed in her special Valentines sweater!{Made by my Camp Mother by the way!}
 Add in the bananas.

 Simmer the bananas in the brown sugar/butter mixture until they are soft and caramelized. {yum!}
 Pour 1/4 cup of dark rum.
 Take a sip to make sure it is still good.
{Ok I guess that step could be considered "optional" as well...}
 Add the rum to the caramelized bananas.
{Stand back if you aren't the one cooking}
 Light it up!
If you have a gas stove you can just tip the pan to light the rum or you can use a long lighter.
 Ooooohh! Ahhhh!
The flame will go out once the alcohol burns off.
Serve over vanilla ice cream.
 Eat right away so it doesn't melt!
{DELISH!}

See! So simple! And sure to impress a date on Valentine's day!
